Matt Kechele Surfboards is a world renown independently owned in house board building glass shop.  One of the last true heritage board builders in the USA.  Kechele Surfboards is located in Melbourne a stones throw away from surfing mecca, Cocoa Beach and  home of the 11 time world champ.  Who ironically started surfing at same beach street Kechele used to surf. Kechele a hard core committed life long surfer has extensive expertise in all aspects of the board building process, all defined by his hands on involvement designing, shaping, and testing the boards that bear the trademark “K”.  Its always about experimenting  and trying shapes and bottom contours, developing progressive boards. Kechele states  thats what its always been about. “this is part of what drives me.”   Always has throughout my entire pro career.  Kechele’s  pro surfing records reflect a lengthy successful surfing career all the while shaping his own boards.  Still today Kech pushes  the envelope of designs through personal experience  and rider feedback.
